Welcome to Moonlight Margins, a little corner of the internet dedicated to stories, creativity, and finding magic in the everyday.

I’ve always been someone who gets a little too attached to fictional characters, starts far too many creative projects at once, and believes that a rainy afternoon is considerably better when accompanied by a good book and a cup of tea.

Moonlight Margins grew from that love of the little things.

I’m a creative writing student with a particular fondness for books, films, storytelling and making things. When I’m not writing, you’ll probably find me with a crochet hook in my hand, adding another book to my ever-growing TBR, watching a film I’ve already seen far too many times, or collecting inspiration for the next project I inevitably decide I need to start.

What is Moonlight Margins?

I wanted to create somewhere that felt a little slower.

Somewhere for book recommendations and film reviews, creative writing thoughts and crochet projects, autumnal inspiration and cosy little discoveries.

You’ll find five main corners of the blog:

Films, television, adaptations and the occasional deep dive into something I’ve become slightly obsessed with.

Creative writing, university life, inspiration, ideas, and the realities of trying to turn all those thoughts in your head into actual words.

Crochet, crafts, creative projects and the inevitable mistakes that come with making things yourself.

COSY ☕
Autumn days, cafés, stationery, fragrances, routines, little joys and anything else that makes an ordinary day feel special.

Why “Moonlight Margins”?

Because I love the idea of the margins.

The little notes we scribble beside a favourite passage. The thoughts that appear at two in the morning. The ideas that don’t quite belong anywhere else yet. The parts of stories (and life) that happen quietly around the edges.

And moonlight felt like the perfect companion.

A little mysterious, a little dreamy, and just enough light to make everything feel different.
