Why I Created This Little Corner of the Internet

There’s something really quite lovely about having your own little corner of the internet that feels entirely your own.

Welcome to Moonlight Margins, a cosy space for stories, creativity, and all the little things that make each day feel magical.

I created Moonlight Margins as a place to bring people together over some of my favourite things: books, films, writing, crochet, autumnal nights and everything fun and crafty you can think of. Think rainy afternoons curled up in a squishy chair, chilly evenings spent with a hot chocolate and a book, films watched under fuzzy blankets, half finished crochet projects discarded on the duvet, and the comforting feeling of having nowhere else you need to be, and no one rushing you around.

So Why Moonlight Margins?

I’ve always indulged in my love of getting completely and utterly lost in a story. Whether it be a fantastical mystical book that keeps me up reading all night, a vampire tv series that makes me want to wake all my friends up for a debrief, or an idea for a story that just cant wait, I’ve always found something special in the worlds we create and the ones we discover.

And then there are the quieter things.

Making something with your hands. Finding your new favourite book shop. Lighting a pumpkin spiced candle on a dark and stormy night. Getting excited about autumn. Sitting down with a hot chocolate and finally having an hour for yourself.

Moonlight Margins is about all of that combined into one deliciously autumn package.

Make: Sneak peaks into my crochet life, embroidery hacks, and the occasional project that does NOT go according to plan at all.

Cosy: My autumn routines, the best cafes, shower routines and perfumes that make you smell like a pumpkin spice cupcake, and everything in between that make your days feel a bit more magical.

This won’t be a blog where everything is perfectly curated. I want it to feel more like sitting down with a friend and saying, “Right, you need to hear about this book I just read.”

A Little Corner to Come Back to

The internet can sometimes feel very fast.

There is always something new to watch, read, buy, post, learn or worry about. Moonlight Margins is my attempt to make a little space that doesn’t need to rush.

A place for stories.

For creativity.

For unfinished projects.

For discovering something wonderful and immediately wanting to tell someone about it.

And, of course, for those evenings when the rain is tapping against the window, there’s a blanket over your knees and you’ve decided that just one more chapter definitely won’t hurt.

So, if you love books, films, making things, writing, cosy evenings, or simply finding little pockets of magic in everyday life, welcome.
